CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Myjive, Inc. an award-winning digital agency based in Charlotte, has been included in University of Florida’s inaugural Gator100. The list recognizes the fastest-growing businesses that are led or owned by UF alumni around the world. Myjive founders Albert Banks and Ron Edelen are both graduates of the university. The program was launched last year by the University of Florida Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) and is also sponsored by the Warrington College of Business Administration.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the University of Florida for the success of Myjive. Ron and I met and formed our company while at UF so this is truly a homecoming for us.” said Albert Banks, Myjive’s Managing Director. To be considered for the Gator100, companies must have been in business at least five years and have achieved revenues of $100,000 or more in each of the past three years. The awards are open to any size of business, from start-ups to corporations. Rankings are based on compounded annual growth rate.

“CEI is excited to honor top Gator alumni entrepreneurs from schools and colleges across the UF campus,” said Nola Miyasaki, Director of Gator StartUps. “The Gator100 exemplifies one of CEI’s core values of contributing to a vibrant culture of entrepreneurship across our campus and the Gator Nation.”

Myjive has grown quickly the past few years. They serve brands such as Regal Boats, Mack Trucks and NAPA Filters. They are also Agency of Record for many of their clients in the digital media space handling ongoing duties in platforms, social, digital marketing and original content. In 2013, the agency was inducted into SoDA, an exclusive professional society for digitally-focused marketing and creative agencies around the world.

According to Ron Edelen, the shop’s creative chief, “Myjive has grown by bringing clients a combination of high level design quality and latest digital technologies. The Gator100 is extra special because of their focus on innovation and thinking about the future, which is really what drives us everyday.”

The Gator100 distinction follows a string of other recent awards. These include six American Advertising Awards (formerly the ADDYs), nine Telly Awards, and a national best WebAwards trophy for the Regal Boats website.
