Let fans create their own Music and Lyrics with film Web presence.
In anticipation of the DVD release date of the Warner Brothers’ film Music and Lyrics, staring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, Warner Brothers was in search of a fresh way to engage & excite fans. Our solution was an interactive microsite with an 80s glam band theme that played off of the film’s comical 80s flashbacks. Visitors to the site were able to create personalized band characters by uploading headshot images of themselves or their friends and then accessorizing their characters with fun 80s gear and hairstyles. Once the look was complete, the personalized band members would rock out on stage – giving rather humorous performances.
To encourage viral spreading, we worked with ad agency Buzztone to develop features that made the experience portable on all major social networking sites. The site spread virally, as users shared their band performances with friends and invited them to make their own.
